January 26, 2025The Pakistan Progressive Forum (PPF) Steering Committee held a pivotal meeting on January 26, 2025, to outline a dynamic roadmap for February. The session, attended by esteemed members Dr. Sayed Ahmed Aamir Raza, Dr. Umar Murad, Asad Zaidi, Raza Rumi, and Waqas Habib Rana, focused on two major virtual conferences and improvements to the PPF website, showcasing the Forum’s commitment to meaningful discourse and community advancement.
The committee discussed plans for two significant virtual conferences. The first, titled “Decline of Liberal Democracy – What’s Next?” is scheduled for February 9, 2025, and will explore the challenges and future of liberal democracy.
The second event, a fundraising conference aimed at supporting the Forum’s initiatives, is set to take place in late February. The specific date for this conference will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The Steering Committee also highlighted the importance of enhancing the PPF website to improve user engagement. The web development team has been tasked with implementing live tickers for real-time updates and announcements.
The committee will reconvene on February 2, 2025, to finalize details for the February 9 conference and review progress on website enhancements and promotional efforts. PPF remains dedicated to fostering equity, justice, and informed community engagement through progressive dialogue and collaborative initiatives.
